85 stang lx 2.3 4 speed ?'s

there is a guy about a 1 1/2 hrs away sell a 85 lx 2.3 4 speed car.
says it runs and drives good.

well i have a 87 lx 5.0 speed car i picked up for parts a while ago,i was going to use some of the parts (mainly the 5 speed) for my 85 capri(the 85 capri has been in storage since 01), but that car will not be coming out/getting totally redone/modded for a long time.so im thinking about getting this 85 lx and swapping in a 5.0 and 5 speed to tide me over till then.

now onto my ?'s

are the 2.3 in 85 carbed or cfi or injected ?
also what ignition is on the 2.3 85 cars with a 4 speed, duraspark,tfi ?

The only thing I can help you with, is the 2.3's were not EFI until '87.

i have searched all over the place, and can not get a answer on the 85 4 bangers, im lean towards its a carbed car, but could be totally wrong, and i have no idea on what ign. they came with.

You are not wrong, non-turbo 2.3's were not EFI until '87.

I tried to help ya and search, but you're right, cant find answers.

I'm pretty confident to say it's a carbed car. I think it came with a one barrel, but could be mistaken on that.
