Yes im going to paint the door jams just havent gotten there yet. It look 100 times better then it did and its really coming a long. i have put on the 3 coat of paint and all it needs is a sand down again and the last coat of paint.

I put the first coat of paint on the fenders so a couple more on them and they will be done. Havent started to work on the front bumper yet but will be working on it soon. Hoping to have the body done this weekend and finish the fenders and front bumper by next weekend to be able to put the car back together again.

Coming along nicely. Personal experience would have had me shoot the jambs and all other metal before laying down the body coats, but any way she gets new paint works. Looking good and keep us posted.

That was the plan to do that but somehow I started to work on the body of the car and didnt stop until I had paint on it. Im looking forward to having the whole car painted soon to be able to finish the interior before I go on vacation at the end of next month to go to Mustang Week in SC.

I tried to lay down another coat of paint but all it did is bubble up really bad again. So I returned the spray paint and bought a gallon of Rustoleom paint and some foam rollers. So Im going to work on the front bumper and reassemble the front end of the car and take down the plastic and remask the car for rolling on the paint. I think doing it this way will be better anyways bc there no smell and dont loose 30% of the paint in the air.

So I put together the front end of the car and started to paint the car with a roller. I have 4 coats of paint on it so far. Im going to lay down another coat tonight and then wet sand the car smooth and finish painting the last 3 coats and wet sand that and then buff the car out.

Here is the progress so far

Laid down 4 more coats of paint on the car. i have about half the car wet sanded down. I still need to set sand the fenders and the front nose. Im going to buy a buffer so I can polish and buff out the shine. Then i can paint the satin black and install the quarter window glass and moldings back on the car.

Im looking forward to it. This is a true budget build that Im doing. i should be able to finish the car and only have $2500 in the whole car including buying the car.

Look for updated pictures when I get the buffed out to shine and then the satin black goes down on the car.
