Im keeping the newer dash bc that is what i have and took all the wiring out of my other project car.

Not sure what Im going to do just yet with the Rustoleom paint job - either spray painting it or sponging it

Im going to paint the whole car White and Paint the racoon eyes satin black along with all the windshield, hatch, and T-top moldings.

I got some body work done on the car this weekend. Sanded the whole body, took the windshield and the hatch off. I started the bondo and hope to have it done today so i can sand it down to a smooth finish to primer it this weekend.

Im looking forward to getting the car painted so i can finish the interior and then work on the engine to get it on the road.

I going to get so 10 holes rims with tires that im going polish to look like chrome.

Im also going to put on a cobra rear bumper and wing to get the look that I want for the car.

Im not looking forward to buying the T-top weatherstripping kit.

Looks like you have been hitting it fairly hard. Good work and keep it rolling along!

Got to work on the car more last night and was able to get the passenger side bondo laid down and started to sand it smooth. Hoping to have it block sanded tonight and then I can work on the drivers side.

Want to be able to have the car in primer this weekend

Got time to finish sanding down the bondo on the car. Just need to got back over the pinholes in the bondo. Then I can get the car into primer to block sand it smooth.

Still need to get out a head bolt that snapped off in the block. I have tried everything to get it out: bolt extractor, torched it, welded a piece of metal to the bolt and it wouldnt move an inch. The only thing I have left to do is drill out the bolt and try to brake it loose that way.

Got a good amount of work done this weekend. I got about 2 coats of primer on the car, sanded the whole car down, and got the first coat of paint on the car. Now I need to sand the first coat of paint and lay down the second coat either today or tomorrow.

You are flying through this! Makes me angry at myself for coming up with stupid excuses not to do stuff to my car. Looks great man, good to see it moving along so well.....it will shine when done!

looks like what i just finished doing a couple of months ago. Take your time and don't rush it the body or you will notice what you neglected to do after the fact. good luck and i look forward to seeing the finished product.

    Thanks guys

Im looking forward to finishing the paint job and buffing and polishing the car. I think the white is going to look awesome on the car. Im going to wet sand and polish the engine bay too when I do the body of the car too. So everything is going to be very smooth and easier to clean.

Well the first coat of paint is now fully cured so its time to sand it down with 400 grit to smooth everything out and spray the second coat.

Im moving slow on the paint stage to get it to come out good. Looking to lay down about 4 or 5 coats of paint to get good coverage.

Looking good! Why did you convert it to a hydraulic clutch?

I wanted something that was different. Also I have a bad left knee so over time sitting in Atlanta traffic it starts to hurt so I wanted a very easy clutch to push down. i dont like automatic mustangs had one and didnt like it.

I can agree on the traffic and auto Mustang points. If you are going to shoot a few more coats, unless you are leaving the side moldings body color, I would mask them off so as not to build up too much paint thickness on the trim.

Im going to keep the moldings white, but maybe was thinking of painting the inside of the molding lines satin black to match the other parts of the car. Going to work on the car today hopefully to sand the car down with 400 grit and shoot another coat of white paint tonight.

I think the stripes and the GT portion of the moldings in satin black would look good on the white car, good choice.

Got to work on the car for a little while last night. Sanded the whole body of the car with 400 grit. Then wiped the whole car down and laid down the second coat of paint on the car. Its starting to look like a solid color in just 2 coats. Its very smooth for spray paint so i guess all the time I have in this project is paying off. I hoping to be able to work on the front nose and the fenders so I can get them painted too.
