Default Heater Core Hose ? - Core to heater tube - Ford discontinued

Are these 2 hoses the 2 molded ones that come off my heater core to the heater tube on top of the intake?
If these are not the ones for my 1986 Capri 5.0 w/ AC let me know...I need these stupid things asap.

Also....does anyone know of a local change that carries these? They appear to be discontinued.

Those look to be the right parts for that job. Mind you, my car does not have the same setup.

I would think that you can find non-molded hose at any parts supply shop. I'd call your local NAPA about molded ones, but I'd not be too optimistic.

If you really need to get from point A to point B, and a fogged windshield has not been a problem, you can just loop those connectors back on each other (on the block side) to keep the coolant contained.

//this is not reccomended for the faint of project-car... as if you fog up, you're rolling the rest of hte way with windows down, and a rag in your left hand to clear the windshield.

    The autozone links are for:

Bypass - Water pump to Thermostat housing

This one I have no clue on but its not them

But I have the factory numbers now and did a cross reference.

    Inlet
    E4ZZ-18472-D
    Oulet
    E6ZZ-18472-D

    Gates doesn't make the E4ZZ
    Gates makes the E6ZZ = 18766

I did find some listings for cut to fits, and they do have that spiral twist, so they might work.

But I think I am just going to buy them from FMR and wait for them I guess.

Autozone does carry the proper hoses, I bought them for my car a few months ago.

    s-4409 and s-3009

One needs the end trimmed down a little, and you will need to install the restrictor as it does not come with the hose.

Jeff, one of those numbers is wrong I think, I just checked mine and only 1 still has the sticker on it.

I sent you a p.m. with my number, I'll pull them at work in the morning to make sure I gave you the right part numbers. Just give me a quick call and I'll confirm the numbers for you. I don't want you to get the wrong ones.

the A/C heater box is 80-86 and the engine tubes are 86-95.

    Maybe this will be helpful.

I'm seriously glad FEP has image hosting - i'm killing off the photobucket and posting stuff where it can be useful.

My nearest autozone is 8 hours away. goodyear, gates, and motorcraft are wrong. Autozone lists the wrong ones.

Is yours an 86 5.0 A/C car? if so.. please take a picture of the heater tube to core hoses. Maybe i can cram the later or incorrectly listed hoses in there?

i'd love to make this work.

Carquest carries Gates hoses and they are a direct fit. I do not remember the part numbers off the top of my head. if there is any confusion with the look up for an 86, go 89. Same part.

    *edit*
My head hurts from working the ol' memory..I think these are them.
    Gates numbers
    19606
    18705
    * 1 more time..these are cut to fit if memory serves, however the bends are correct.

My hoses look different and are curved the other way. The hoses aren't identical, 89 5.0 A/C is not the same part as my stock hoses, but if you say they'll fit my 86 i'll go buy them.

I got it put back together several months ago.

    Goodyear 63190 and Goodyear 63148

Both cut to fit and the S curves are the right way around.

if the parts monkeys can't cross them
63190 is 99-03 windstar TEE-2 TO WATER PUMP - AUX HTR - CUT TO FIT
63148 is 87-90 sunbird turbo cut to fit

Capriman86 did you find the hoses at Autozone? And did they work. I also need them for my 86 Capri w A/C.

Also, which hose get the restrictor? I save it but did not pay attention to which hose it cam out of or where it plugged in.

I had the same issue when I was looking for hosed for my Capri except mine are non-ac. Every one listed hoses for ac but none local or in stock for non-ac

I'm 90% sure it was in the larger hose at the heater core with the cup toward the heater tube on the engine.

it's designed to reduce the flow rate and pressure-head through the heater core by putting the 'bottle-neck' in front.
