    Default KYB shocks any good?

    I found some KYB Excel-G shocks and struts on evilbay new for $140,just curious if these are any good?Didn't my 85 GT come stock with these?It just seems like a cheap way to get the garbage Monroes outta there.Thanks guys.

    There decent for a street car.
    83' capri ~ 306ci
    speedpro LW hyperpistons
    Lightly ported Gt40s milled 040/ 3 angle valve, TFS springs
    E303/ 1.7 RR
    Rpm intake
    holley 650 dp
    BBK headers~ H pipe~ flows
    373's
    C4 and other drag tricks of the trade.

    The last set of struts / shocks I bought (currently on the car) are KYB's. They are the roughest riding, no handling shocks this car has ever had on it. The worn out stockers were much better IMO. Never again will my money purchase that brand of shock.

    Well sounds like they aren't worth it,maybe I'll save up for some koni's?

    I just put KYB AGX ajustable shocks and struts on mine and I really like them.A friend of mine has Koni's and they don't feel any better than mine.I think they are way overpriced.
    82 GT. Mods so far. 331 stroker,Eagle rotating assy.E cam SRP pistons,World Prod.Roush heads,P.P. crosswind intake,Holly 600 carb,subframe connectors,king cobra clutch,8.8 rear,3.55 gears,T5 trans,Hurst shifter,and more to come.

    i have the regular kyb's not the agx. its a rough ride but im also lowered with sportline springs, dont have anything really to compare it too, but i still wanna get some better ones

    Save for the Konis. The KYB's will be good for a short time. But they WILL be a harsh bone jarring ride after a short while.

    Either Koni or Bilstein.
