This is a 265,000+ mile car, albiet a Florida car; There is NO rust on the belly of this thing........yes I feel bad for cutting it up to save the 84 but I NEED to save the 84 more.
    , , .
Sorry, couldn't resist sneaking in some pics of one of my dads 66 Plymouths (we were cruising in this car when I was down in December, as he smashed up his 94 New Yorker two days after I got there). It is powered by a 440/727 and sounds/rides really nice.

    Decals for this thing.

Had to take the hubs off a set of spindles I had to use on the Racecraft 2" drop spindles I have (yes, they will be sandblasted and powdercoated too).
More pics to come as parts ans progress do.

Looks like you have alot of body work ahead of you but doesn't sound like you're too intimidated by it.

That '66 Belvedere looks like alot of fun.

My dad is a huge Mopar nut (he has 11 mid 60s 'B'-bodies, two of them original Hemi cars, and that one pictured is a twin to his Hemicar).
Ron, I believe the same could be said of your car....you have some great stuff under it and I would be proud to own it.
8T3Hatch.....the bodywork is worth it to save the car, one of less than 4000 built makes it worth it to me (even though I have changed so much on the car). My dads best friend is an I-Car Gold certified Body specialist and I worked with him for a short time, so I have an Idea of what is to come. I will more than likely have someone else do the body, as when I worked with my dads friend, I raelized I have nowheres near the tools and room to do this extensive a repair on. I figure another year before she is roadworthy. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement....believe me I need it (that includes you too Ron, after all your car is the fualt of this thread getting started!!).

Some new pics for you; I try to get them up when I find them hiding in file on my computer:
    ,
A-Pillar rot.....hope it can be fixed.

C-Pillar rot on passanger side. For some reason, the drivers side seemed to fair better on the rust situation than the passanger side did.....odd.

Body damage caused by the salvage yard that had this car.

    Flex Couplers also from Stinger

Nice parts. When are you planning the rust repair? I'll be interested to see how that goes. I have never had to deal with something like that and am always amazed what you northerners can fix.

My dad is driving my 91GT up here May 15th (he and I are going to the Mopar show in Columbus the 16th and 17th of May) and I will go from there. As soon as I get my Harley sold, I will have the money for the bodywork and a some friends will be helping me with the paint (thanks Mike and Jason, you just volunteered without knowing it!! If you haven't been following Mikes Cobra build, it is a beautiful car!). I wish I could take credit for most of the work, but knowing when you are over your head is a skill I managed to pick up in 33 years of life (I will help where I can, and be out of the way when I can't be of help). I am an engine guy with limited body experience, so this should prove interesting.
Ron, this is all your fault; if you hadn't posted any pics of your Turbo GT, none of this would have started (seems you and I are the only ones interested in my build though). Believe me, I don't mind though; your car is beautiful and one day I hope mine is as nice. Thanks for the encouragement Ron, and I still plan on a road trip your way when she is done (a nice photo-op too....not too many times do you get two Turbo GTs together in the same place!).

I went over to Barber today for the 45th anniversary of the Mustang. As far as I could tell I was the only GT Turbo there. Saw a half dozen SVOs or so but no GT Turbo.

We will get together when they are both finished.

More coming. When they get here, I will have pics of the Maximum Motorsports K Member, the AJE lower A-arms (with spring perches), and the AJE spring perches for the K-Member. Also, the CP pistons and rings are being ordered, along with the Melling oil pump/pick-up tube and all bearings. I will keep you posted as progress happens.

Why not just attach the a-arms to the stock k-member and do a MM k-member brace?

Are you aware the k-member moves the front 3/4" further forward? That was my sole reason for not going with that unit.
