Here is my EXP. A lot of folks won't like my grille, and I flat out don't care. I love it, plus the lighting is soo much better than stock

I prefer the EXP/LN7 bug eye look, but I like yours too! Rather German looking!
You guys are making me want an EXP,such cool cars.

I too really like the bug eye fronts, however this is what I found for $150. I love the car to death and it has many many mods. I will be taking her to the track this summer to get me some 1/4 times as well as doing some autocrossing. I hope to get MegaSquirt, forged pistons and some H beam rods so I can crank the boost to 20+ PSI at the track. I have been running 18 PSI on low compression and pump gas for quite a while with no problems.
Also, the grille may look a bit German because it is from a VW! Thanks folks for the kind words.

Thanks Danny! The one thing that bugs me is how much extra bumper there is now. Someday I will figure out what to do about it, but for now, it does the trick. My roomie can be thanked for the factory looking hood. He did a fantastic job on it, even finished the underside of the lip. If anyone is bored, they can check out my ride page on CarDomain. It has all of my mods and lots and lots of pictures and even some videos on the last page. Last time my car made it onto a forum(though I didn't post it there)I lost a lot of ratings. Though, it was a bunch of VW Scirocco people who got of ahold of it then.

Yeah, I remember these cars, they were somehow associated with the escorts. When I was in high school, someone had one of these, and classmate said it was a mustang, it was all I could to to not laugh hysterically at the novice. Come to think about it, he called himself a car guru. Anyway, it's always cool to see cars that most people don't even know about.
I am very interested in Capris, Mustangs, Shelbys, and Saleens. Basically, if you cut me, I bleed Ford blue.
Well, FWIW, in all the pics of it that I have seen, it appears balanced ---- so it works for me.
We should all go and vote his ride with high high marks ---- and if you're really really bored, you can check out mine (and vote on it) as well. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2518292
Just for the record, the Gen 1s are generally called "Frog Eyes."
... and 1ugly85's modded version started out as a "Boxnose" (Gen 2).
I rated up your EXP Danny! A very very fine example of a froggie EXP. I hope to get one of those some day.

Fun is fun, and done is done!
I saw a LN7 in the golf course parking lot this weekend. I thought about snapping a pic of it since they are even rare to see out here in no rust land......

Now is that a factory turbo? If so what size engine is it. The only ones of that style ive seen are the 1.9 HO but.. I havent seen that many. Either way love the car man, I would be proud to sport that.

No, my car started out life as just a run of the mill 1986 sport coupe. The turbos were only offered 84-85. The turbo cars came with a 1.6L engine, my EXP has the 1.9 HO you speak of, though I have dropped the compression on it using Escort LX pistons. I will be running it at the track this summer, and hope to hit low 13's with it. Thank you all again for all the kind words.
