    Default focus electric fan

I recently acquired an electric radiator fan off of a 2000-2007 ford focus. I've been looking for a wiring diagram and haven't had any luck. My plan is to use this fan instead of the factory electric fan on my 83 Capri. Any help would be appreciated.

Only one way to find out.... wire it up and let the car get to operating temp and click on.

I have a taurus fan wired to a 30amp bosch relay - hooked to a 50amp switch inside of the car and inline fuse for good measure. This setup cools 10x better then the flex fan i had, and no problems even with the stock 1g alternator. I would advise though I have no other acess running other then lights and the fan, so i have the extra amps to spare. If running radio, AC etc... YOU WILL NEED TO UPGARDE TO A 3G ALTERNATOR.

MY 1983 capri has a factory electric fan .
when it had the 3.8puk V-6. when i swap the 5.0 in, i reuse all the electric fan stuff from the v-6 to the v-8.

I don't know if they will be better or not... I just liked the look of the Focus fans.

I have the Focus fan installed and wired to the factory harness. It seems to be working well. The only issue I have is the factory thermo switch turns the fans on higher than I want. I'm looking for a switch that turns the fan on @ 198ish and back off around 189. Preferably one that fits with stock threads. I don't want to have to re-tap my cooling fitting. Any suggestions?

I just want to finish off this thread.

The focus fan ended up not flowing enough air to maintain temperatures in the range I prefer to run in. The temps varied in some rather unusual ways. My car ran hotter in the cool mornings and cooler during the day. At stop lights temps were in the upper end of the gauge so out with the old and in with the new so to speak. I installed a Taurus fan this weekend and it has my temps in a range more to my liking. Some times you just have to live and learn.
