    Default New From Mass

    Hi everybody,

My name is Dan and I recently became the owner of my first Mustang. My grandmother (who just turned 91) gave me her Mustang at the end of last summer. It is a 1982 GL hatchback with the 200 cu in inline 6. It has about 46000 original miles and is all original including the Vanilla paint. I am slowly working on it and fixing the few problems it has (mostly cosmetic) and cannot wait until the weather warms up to work on it some more! I look forward to learning a lot from this forum!

    Dan

Thanks for all the welcomes! I'm from Sterling, but I'm going to school in Worcester. I would love to come to the show in April. What's the date? I will post more pictures soon (science labs always get in the way) but a few are posted up in my album.

Thanks! I think I would like to keep it stock and just try to restore it to a nice driver. The car was in Arizona from 1982-2000ish so there is very little rust on it although the last 8 years in Penn and Mass have started the rust issue. Other than that, the dent in the driver's door needs to be taken out, bumpers repainted, dash repainted, and weatherstripping replaced. I hope to do everything on it except the painting. It also needs a good cleaning inside and out and there are some minor issues with the engine I would like to figure out. I'm excited for all this snow to melt away since I have decided to spare it from New England road salt. That April MU show sounds like a good first run of the season for her!
