    Default Bolts for hood Scoop

Pulled the scoop off my 81 Capri and transplanting it to the 82. Some of the bolts are rusted and just bad...What can I use to secure the scoop to the new hood and where can I find the parts to complete the operation.

I recently transplanted an '83 scoop onto my '85. Some of the scoop's mounting studs were missing. So, I found bolts of the same length and thread, cut the heads off and then threaded them into the scoop. They worked perfectly. I'm not sure how the Capri scoop attaches so, I hope that helps

It helps alot....I just was not sure if there was a company out there that sold the bolts...but if all I have to do is find some matching bolts from a hardware store then I think I'm in good shape.

I know you can go to the junkyard and get them off tail lights or put up a Wanted in the classifieds, I am sure someone has something.

I used the marker light studs from an 87-93 car that was in the junkyard, might even be the same as the tailight studs Jeff said to use.

Found two of the 79 hood scoop rear studs missing.
Holes are stripped and larger fasteners with glue fell out. Two of three stud repairs lasted one year.
This time, replaced one using a household wall anchor and screw.
Used a black nylon plastic push tree rivet and washer on the other. Tapped in w/rubber hammer. Is on there real good.
Will see how these hold up. Will fill and retap if needed.

Rear spoiler 84 and up is another source for the studs.
