Well.....if you get some wire run both headlights togather and run that wire into your car. Then run a wire with a 15 amp fuse inline from your positive battery post into your car. Buy a cheap toggle and and connect both wires in the car and now you have headlights. Its not pretty but at least they will work.

Probably just a wire or connector has come loose. Make sure they are all plugged in.

That is a horrible solution, even for a temporary one. Two headlights draw more current than 15 amps, and chances are a 'cheap' toggle switch will malfunction or melt under the load. I know you suggested a fuse, but it's just not a good idea.

It's also possible to be bad grounds, check on the rad support on either side. There are two black wires that have round terminals which are bolted on top of the rad support. These are the headlight ground wires. If it's not that, remove your head light switch and test the leads to see which ones have power and which dont. It's possible that your headlight switch just happened to go bad at the same time, could just be a coincidence. Then, check the headlight plugs for power. Since all four lights turn on when you turn on your high beams, that tells me that your headlight switch is faulty.

+3 on checking grounds. Too often on here that seems to be the root of electrical issues. Be sure they are clean and tight!

It is not the ground for headlights. The "flash-to-pass" circuit uses the same grounds as the hi and low circuit, and the topic started said the flash-to-pass works.

It's either the some of the wiring from the battery to the light switch, the light switch itself, some of the wiring between the light switch and the dimmer switch (part of the multi-function switch), or the dimmer switch itself.

    From the 1985 Mustang/Capri EVTM:

    HEADLIGHTS

    TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

    NO HEADLIGHTS, PARK LIGHTS OK
    • Check for voltage at BK/O wire of Light Switch. If bad, check harness back to Battery.
    • Check for voltage at R/Y wire of Dimmer Switch. If bad, check continuity of wire and Light Switch.
    • Check continuity of Dimmer Switch. Replace if bad.
