    Question 1983 interior color???

Hello, all. I have an 83 coupe which was originally a 3.8/Auto, but is now a mass-air 5.0/5-speed. My question is....my interior is brown. I have not found anything in any restoration book, or even eBay, that has any type of dark brown interior even listed at all. Is this a rare color, or just unpopular? I am strongly considering changing the interior color to black. If this happens to be a rare, desirable option (which I would be surprised), then I will leave it alone. Any ideas?
Thank you all in advance for your help in this matter!

The color is called Walnut and it was only available that one model year in Mustangs and Capris, and the only dark brown available at all in the entire Fox Mustang/Capri run.

There was Chamois, Caramel, Desert Tan, and Sand Beige, but not a dark brown any other year but '83.

    Brown rules!

It IS a rare 1 year only color. All the other ones have been sprayed black by the "we don'tlike anything but grey or black" nazis!

You can get matching spray for it from Metro Parts Market. If you do it right, you can make your interior plastics look like new again. FoxMustangRestoration has everything to restore door panels back to new condition.

Nowadays you very rarely see the old colors which are no longer a feature of modern cars.

    Reconsider!

Thank you for your replies. I had a strange feeling that this was a rare color. Does anyone have any ideas how I can track down a rough production number?
Knowing this, I will probably leave it as it is.
Thank you all again for your help!!!

I also vote for keeping it brown. I like to see cars which have colors or fabrics which are unlikely to be seen in today's new cars. Who knows, in ten years brown interiors may be back in style.
