    Default RS bulge on ebay, store

    Hey guys, I realize this might really need to be in the FYI thread area, but I know I really do not read that area too often and wanted to be sure the Mercury guys did get to see this, so hope posting this here was ok. Just cruising ebay I came across this bulge scoop for sale in a sellers ebay store. I know it took me like 6 months to find one, till a fellow FEP member kindly sold me his. Thought I might post this, just in case someone here is looking for one.

    Should there be mounting studs at front edge of the scoop, where the two metal plates are?

    every one off the car that I have seen hasn't had them, if they where there.

    The underneath of the hood does show spots for drilling holes, so I would think
    there was something there at one time, just very weak.

    The scoop I have has one of studs intact and the other one missing. My body guy added the other one when I had it refinished (paint removed & primed).

    I installed mine without the 2 front studs, holds down just fine, so I wouldn't
    let that scare anyone.

    It must be a brittle area right there.
