    Default 86 2.3l - need advice

What to look for on an 86 2.3l automatic ?

Owner says fuel pump is out of order ... has not been run since 3 years. Supposed to have 53.000 miles.

Correct me if i'm wrong but fuel pump is still mechanical that year right ? if then it shouldn't be a problem to replace it to test drive the car.

Speedometer in kmh so it might be a Canadian one originaly (i'm waiting for more informations from seller).

If the fuel pump is bad, it is a mechanical pump. It's located under the power steering pump and has a guard over it, but can be fairly easily replaced. If it has sat for 3 years, the carb may be clogged up and the fuel in the tank may be really gross. That car has a computer on it, so if you do get it to run and it runs really poorly after your repairs are made, you can scan for codes.
