Looks like it will be running soon. Good deal and hope to see it on the road and turning heads.

Lately I've been setting asided sundays to pick away at it. I still need to figure out a good way to mount the larger EFI fuel tank, and it should be ready to run with a turn of the key.

Looking good! For those of you who haven't seen Ken's car in person, it's really nice. There's NO RUST on the car at all, which is very rare for a New England car. Also, the interior is in beautiful condition too and hasn't been molested. It's "all-original", right down to the seats, dashpad, and carpet, all of which show no wear (cracks, tears, etc....)

When he bought it, it had Mustang fenders on the front, hence the fact that he had to change it back over to a Capri front end. He will be getting it painted (his uncle is going to help him) and it'll be a beauty when it's done.

Good job and keep on going!

So glad to hear the good news Ken. It will be great to have a 79-82 Capri cruising with us. I believe you are the only one in our general area that has one. I do believe Jeff saw one recently though, but that doesn't happen often.

The Mustang fenders were hanging loosely by a couple bolts, the bumper cover was pretty much "installed" the same way. Fortunately by some stroke of luck I purchased the 82 Nose from Greg so when I saw this car I knew it must be a happy coincidence.

btw are you guys ready for some pics of today's work?

It may not be, but that crank pulley looks like it's a tad bit out of shape.

Car looks excellent for being a NE car

Yes it was. The engine had sat around for a while, and was moved a few times. the crank pulley got damaged sometime along the way. Before the fan and radiator went in I replaced the damaged crank pulley, and the water pump pulley with some underdrive pulleys I had around collecting dust.

Tail lights are gonna work i'm sure. The ones on there now need some restoring so I'll probably just redo the other set and swap them out.

I could use the lower seal, I managed to locate everything else

    Nice work!

I guess that car was sold new at Tasca Ford. That's pretty cool. That's like getting a Camaro from Yenko Chevrolet.
