what the heck kind of foam is it? i bought stuff to do this for my other car, had everythign shaped perfect, but laid the fiberglass and resin on, and the foam melted.
styrene based(apparently) blue construction foam.
does the pink stuff say anythign on it?

It's owens-corning foamular from Home Depot. The trick is to use an epoxy resin & not poly resin, which is what fiberglass resin is. Thanks for the comments, I've been REALLY slow on this thing lately. My wife is due with our first child just about any day now so I've been spending alot of time getting things ready for her.
I know this is an old thread, but are there any photos of the finished product?
