Default Pictures of 79 Coupes (Need Ideas)

    Alright.

So I have narrowed it down to three possible paint schemes.

    Black With Red Stripe
    Pure Silver With Black Stripe
    Tungston With Black Stripe

A picture of the stripe I am doing will be below(I AM NOT USING THE VORTECH DECAL FOR THE BACK QUARTER PANEL EITHER). Its the stripe that my dad had designed for Vortech Superchargers booth at SEMA.

But from there I think that I am wanting to switch to a 85 front bumper (NEED SOME ADVICE ON THAT) and find a good looking hood and spoiler. No import looking crap.

So thats where I stand. Just se'n what you guys think I should do with it. Oh and my interior is red and I think I am going to keep it that way for a little while.

Black with red stripes would do it for me.Don't see many stangs with that combo.

A while back I wanted to do something like that to my car, but decided against it. Here's a crude chop I did then:

No. No, no, no and no.

79-82 base model bumper covers are friggin' hot, and seldom seen. They do need to be black across the headlights and grille area, but they look tough. I am dying to get my hands on an 81-82 T-top coupe, but I'm tempted by any 79-82 coupe at this point.

Not only that, you'd have to change the hood, rear bumper cover and all the trim 'round the middle to make it match properly.

I'm also not too big on black and red. It usually doesn't come out as well as people think it might.

Black and red with a lot of black and very little red comes out great. Then, there is this:

Yes, there are those of us who love the 79-82 coupes.

In answer to the first post, do not go to an 85 nose, and keep the paint scheme subtle and tasteful--- in the long run you will like it better that way.

Here is an example of what I consider a tasteful two-tone paint scheme.
