It's interesting that 81 had a much larger production number but is not represented proportionally here.

I am considering putting a "registry" online for Black Magics and Crimson Cats. It would be started with the data that I have collected and entered into the database (VIN, factory paint/trim, factory options, known condition, etc.) I will not be putting real names/screen names, locations, or any other personally identifying information out there.

Hey FoxChassis that would be a great idea. I would be happy to help I can give you all the info you want or even need on my 1982 White BM. Just let me know what info and it's yours.

Les: I think I already have the door tag and buck tag data from your 1982 BM in the database. Did you end up getting a Marti report or Eminger invoice for it?

Only data I might be missing is the complete options list. All I got was the options that were indicated on the buck tag (A/C, defrost, and louvers). I see from the pics posted that it has a front license plate bracket, so I will add that to the data. Does it also have any of the following options?

tinted glass (slight green or tan tint to factory side and rear glass, tinted windshield)
light group (light under hood, light in slot in front ashtray, light in glove box, light and switch in hatchback area)
premium sound system ("AMP PULL" knob to left of radio, "Premium Sound System" emblem on dash bezel below HVAC panel)
tilt steering wheel
interval windshield wipers (twist knob on end of lever for timed delay)

I double checked there is no light under hood, in the hatch area, or the glove box but there is a light in the ashtray area. No tint at all that I can see. It does have premium stereo and amp pull knob. And it has interval wipers with the turn knob on the end of it. I did look at it fast last time and I am sorry.

Hi, recently purchased 81 white/ black magic Capri, had 3.3 Ltr, C4 auto. have already posted buck tag and data plate info on other thread which is why I now know what it is. it has T-tops, rear window louvers, console, tilt steering, the front lower facia has been replaced with a capri RS or mustang indy pace car lower piece. Front seats have been replaced with seats from sn95 mustang but rears are original. also sometime in its life it has been converted to 5 lug with 16 inch wheels and an 8.8 rear. Looks good, runs good, and I am happy to leave it the way it is save fro the front seats which I might swap for a set of recaros from an 81 stang that I have sitting in my garage.

I have only found one up here, and it was actually just a cc nose bolted on a regular capri as an accident repair. No buck tag, no way to get a vin. I almost wept. I'd kill for a cc capri.
