Very nice. The dash looks beautiful, but where are the pics of the Recaro seats?

I graduated from college in 1979 & the starting pay for a college grad was $12k/year, or about $2k more than a new Mustang Pace Car. I really wanted one, but it wasn't in the financial cards back then (school loans to pay off). But as the saying goes "Good things come to those who wait", I finally got my Pace Car 36 years later, and it is a good one! A 31k original mile, 2 owner Turbo, with every option but power windows & power door locks. It came with every bit of documentation from day one, including the down payment receipts, window sticker, build sheet, & all service records. It's been in Minnesota it's whole life and has only a couple of modifications (headlight covers, rear license plate panel cover, air horns, 1984 vintage AUDIOVOX am/fm digital cassette deck, & an aftermarket hatch area light). It came with the side decals still in the original cardboard too. I plan on leaving it the way it is with the exception of replacing the TRX wheel/tires with some Ponys and new tires, so I can safely drive it to shows and cruises.

My first new car was a 1980 2.3 Turbo hatch, 4-speed manual, with TRX suspension, sunroof, (radio delete, no other options) and I would get stuck in 1/4" of snow on a 2 degree incline, and would have to get out and push it while I left it in first gear to get it through intersections. In deeper snow, I would leave it at home and walk to work. Worst winter car I ever owned. So no to your idea, though Blizzaks would help a little (I know you were joking anyway), and I can only imagine what the road salt would do to it in short order.

Beautiful PC! How many miles, and does it have factory rocker chip guard, rear louvers, or tilt? The only options my 31k mile Turbo PC does not have are power door locks, chip guard, 8-track, & rear louvers (not available with my rear wiper).

Never mind on the mileage question (I see 76 miles in the registry). I can see through the factory steering wheel protective wrap why the previous owner of mine had his wrapped in leather. That factory wood grain inlay just doesn't go with the character of the car (maybe on a Ghia model). Do you start it regularly or is it strictly a trailer to show and roll it off and on car? Nice that there are a couple of super low mileage examples (NPD owned Turbo PC shows 56 miles in the registry) out there to use as factory benchmarks for restorers. I'm lucky that mine is not too nice to drive to and from shows (not to mention the 2 miles of gravel/dirt road to and from my winter storage location). Great job on owning and preserving an important piece of Mustang history!
