You can hope "blown motor" = headgasket replacement.

If all the svo specific parts are there and the body is mint with no rust, I say it is worth it.
Like mfpmax said, it might just be a blown head gasket. The bottom end of the 2.3 is pretty tough, unless there was a lean condition under boost, or something of that nature.

yep, i would jump all over that. Especially if i had the money just sitting around.
Botom end of the motor is toast wont know how bad it is until it's pulled. All the parts are there. Since I'm the first person to have an intrest in the car in a while and he needs it gone I might be able to get him lower the price.
turns out it's a 84. But it's still an SVO

me and my dad have been playing with an 86 svo and blew quite a few head gaskets and the car still ran fine after it was changed..those are the toughist motors i know..
