    Default Transmission Mount question

I bought this from a 79 Pace Car with a 302/4 speed. Will this work for a 79 Cobra 302/C4?

If not then what is the difference? Thanks!

It is the same part. That x-member will work fine.

I can understand that the 79 Pace and 79 Cobra would use same part as would any 79 with a 302. But that part also looks like the common 'single hump' crossmember used in literally millions of early Fox chassis cars. Isnt that the case? I hope you did not pay 'extra' because it was for a relatively rare car (ie 79 Pace/Cobra) where it actually is a very common part. Am I wrong?

    Comments?

While it is virtually the same, the early cars use a thinner mount on the frame rails where the x-member bolts up. It is approx 2 inches where 83 and up are approx 4 inches.
