Default Another Pace Car getting crushed

I was at a Pic and Pull with a friend and one of the first cars we came across was a 79 Pace Car. It was pretty rusty. The spare tire area was basically gone. Sunroof area was full of holes. Not good. Not worth repair. Anyway, took the door sticker off of it and it reads:
    VIN: 9F03F485551
    Ext: 61R
    MLDG: 10E
    Int:UA
    A/C: A
    R: 7
    AX: Y
    TR: 5MMMM
    DSO: 48

Hate to see it get crushed but with all the rust it seems to be its fate. Just wanted to pass this info along if anyone keeps track of the Pace Cars.

No, nothing worth taking. It had different front seats in it and the back seat was gone. The rear interior panels looked decent but honestly I did not pay too close attention to them. The dash was ripped apart. The bezel was there but someone took the pace car emblem. It was really a mess.

Front was steel and the rear was aluminum. The bumper cover was not in good shape. I know that the aluminum bumpers are worth something but the bolts were real rusty and I did not have my breaker bar with me.

Man I hate that - I guess we can't save them all. It was a V8 with AC too. Looks like she was from Detroit

I was told that the DSO meant it was a Ford internal car.?? I am not a code cracker and dont know what most of the numbers mean, just what I was told. I wish I had my camera with me to take pics. The yard is almost an hour away and I dont see myself going back there for another couple of weeks.

They dont allow sawzall's in the yards here. The motor was gone and the front cover and hood were gone. The hatch was rusted. Like I said, there isnt alot of the car worth much and obviously what was worth something is already gone. If I can make it back there this weekend I will get the rear bumper, if its still there, and take some pics of it.

Bumper was no good. It had broken at the mounts on the passenger side. No other Pace Car specific parts were there. Took pics will load them later.

What do you mean the rear bumper is broken at the mount? Cracked, ripped out, torn and folded? I work on aircraft and have access to a TIG welder if needed.

The holes that mount the bumper to the car where torn, the aluminum was shot and when I took the cover off the passenger side was already off. The holes were gone and there was no way to remount the bumper. But if you want it that badly, just PayPal me 100.00 and I will go get it. The last one I watched went for 80.00 plus 30.00 for shipping. The taillights are broken and the rear bumper cover was torn. Trust me, my buddy and I went through that car, if there was anything worth something we took it.

Thanks for the info on the rear bumper......if I had a day or two off I would think about driving up and get it. I am originally from Hastings and still have some friends/relatives in the area....I guess it all boils down to just how bad I want it.

The yard is in Three Rivers. Wasn't trying to be an ars, just dont think that it is worth paying for a bumper that I cant use nor that anyone would want.

Believe me, I know where you are coming from and you didn't offend me or piss me off...we're cool. I just was making a statement more to and of myself about the bumper than anything else (kind-of argueing with myself and spilled some out onto the keyboard).
