Default What The Heck!? A Wierd Issue.

So I pull of to the side of the road to look at a 85 GT that I spotted for sale. Looks to have 125,000 miles on it. Clean, without any rust besides the hatch. The car starts, run and drives great. But how about this for a wierd quirk, when you pull on the upper left corner of the steering wheel the car loses idle. If you hold on long enough, about one second, the car will die completely. You can pull from everywhere else and the car does not die or anything. Has anyone else had this problem, or know what is causing it? The car has a manuak transmission BTW.

ignition switch.....seen it on another 5.0 but the other way around...only way to get it to work was to press the steering wheel real hard against the column

Been there with your exact same problem. Ignition switch sounds like it is coming apart.
