    Default 8.8 Rearend

    Please advise on what to do about this rearend (8.8, 3.55) - Thanks All.
    Car will not see a tract!!!

    If it was mine, I would pull it apart and sandblast the housing. If the ring & pinion aren't too pitted, I would just wire wheel/brush them and see how they are. Then I'd put it back together with a new ring & pinion install kit, and a new trac-loc kit.

    What about the little hole where the lower control arm bolt goes? Is that ok?
    Give links to kits you mention please!!!!

    With the holes, there are two options I would use.

    1) After blasting, weld up the majority of the thru holes and grind smooth.

    or

    2) Locate a cleaner housing. There are thousands of them out there.

    Those are the ones I use, and I feel that they are about the best for the money.

    i would toss it imo. You can easily find another rear end on craigslist.
