Hopefully I'll get them on here properly, as I know y'all will let me know about it in short order if I don't.

This is just to get a rough idea of the representation these cars have on this site.

You can also pick more than one type of car, the poll allows that.
First line of poll should say 78-83 Fairmont/Zephyr

Uhh, I'm new to this site (first post) and I don't see my car listed but I think I'm still in the right place. I just purchased a 1978 Ford Fairmont Futura.

1979 Mercury Zephyr Z7. Stock right now, but working on a turbo for the 200 six, Thinkin either aod or t5 swap, wagon springs for the rear, five lug conversion, 17" Cragar s/s wheels, full custom interior using Stang parts and home fabbed stuff and a boomin audio system. Would also like to put in some Cougar taillights if I can find a good set. Paint will be 07 Dodge Ram blue with a silver AAR Cuda style strobe stripe. I know, putting a Dodge color on a Ford, but I don't really like any of the Ford blues.
Run your car, not your mouth
1979 Zephyr Z7, soon to be drag car with a 521 inch big block, a C4 and a Currie built nine inch with 4.11 gears, naturally aspirated!

You don't like the True blue from the 99-04 Mustangs?

Imo, that's one fine blue! Good deep dark color, polishes up very nicely, with plenty of metallic bits too!

I thought I replied to this thread? I dont know, maybe I'm going crazyer.

First: 80 4door Zephyr. It fell victim to my youth and stupidity. Crushed.

Second: 81 Boxtop. Originally a 2.3/C3, I drove it for a while and got something else to drive so I could start modding it. It collected dust instead.

Third: 83 Futura. Factory buckets, console, floorshift. It did have a crumpled quater that looked really bad when the bondo started falling out. From there it got faster, and uglier. My Boxtop was neglected because of this car. The 302/C4 I put in it resulted in a ripped toque box, and it never had sticky tires on it. Ripped torque box, crumpled 1/4, too much to fix. It ended up at the crusher after being stripped of most of the useful stuff that wasn't welded on.

Fourth: 84 LTD wagon. It was a $250 car, and treated as so. I used it as my beater/parts chaser while I got the motor swapped in the 83. Never locked the doors, rarely took my key out, it was beat to crap when I got it so I didnt take much interest in modding it.

Fifth: 80 Futura. No motor, no trans, no title, shot interior. Bought as a parts car for the 83. Tried to get a title for it when I found the ripped torque box on the 83, and fail miserably. Stripped and crushed.

Currently, my only fox is my second. Today, I got a few seams welded up and got one of the SFCs made. Been "stuck" for a while due to lack of a welder. Now I have one, and I'm making progress. I'm doing the motor last on this one.

Well, it is a nice blue, but not quite dark enough for the look I'm after.
