I just read on another forum that a guy named Gary "bigwingsaleen" has just passed away. I think this might be the same gary that is a member here. I really hope not but I think it is. If so this is very sad news because he was a great guy .
Does anybody on here know him?

That is really crappy news because it sounds like the same guy. I bought my headlight covers from him, and he seemed like a really nice guy.

Yes, Gary Alsobrooks is aka bigwingsaleen.

His signature on other site(s) say "Living Cancer free since transplant in Oct 2006" but he was on a church's January '08 'prayer list' for cancer treatment.

FOX=I think I remember seeing that. On the other site that I read it on said that he was just feeling like draged down and tired and when they took him to the doctors he was dehidrated and run down then went beck again a couple of days later and they said he will not be comming home without hospice and then he passed away. Man this is very sad news.
I had Pm'd him on here because I found an 85 saleen local and was trying to buy it and he was a huge help and really took the time to help me with info on the car. he really did seem like a nice guy.
God bless him and his family.

Also, do not be so quick to judge someone's comments as being derogatory. It is often difficult to interpret someone's intentions having only text and no body language or tone of voice to guide you.

    RIP Gary.

Only met him a few times but what a shame. He was an SVOCA founding member. He made many things happen .

I had known Gary since my early days in the SVOOA back in the early 90s. He was always honest and a really great guy to know. He helped me with pictures of my 85.5 SVO from Barrett-Jackson that he took and sent them without me even asking.

    He will be missed

Oh man, this is really sad news. I sold Gary my Blue seatbelts for his Saleen last year and he seemed like a very nice guy. My condolences to his family and friends. We've lost a good asset to the Mustang community.

I knew Gary (Kodak) from back in the early 1980's when we were in the Music City Mustang Club. Here's the obit from the funeral home.
