Very nice Cobra! It looks like the students did a very nice job on it. It's cool that it's was a decal delete car. I wonder if there are any others?

Thats definitely a rare one to have no graphics.
I just found some old pictures of my first one.
Hope the upload works.
Welcome to the site! Nice Cobra. It's a carbon copy of what mine was when I bought it except that mine had the the hood decal. You said that the above pictured one was your first, do you currently own one? If so, post some pic's!

It was my first Mustang. I have an 88 vert now but may be looking for another four eyed turbo in the future. They are alot of fun.
This is a Cobra I recently pickud up in Switserland.
The former owner told me that the car was actually assembled in Switserland, the front and rear spoiler are original at this car.
After a month ownership I sold it to someone in Belgium.
The car was rust free and very well maintained, maintenance books all included.

And more
Wow that thing is beautiful!!!
I picked up one last month similar to yours from Switzerland. Mine is a 1980 and not nearly as nice.

You got a great deal. Very nice.
This is a very confusing Cobra! I will step out on faith and say that I don't believe Euro-Ford ever built any Mustangs. The door sticker calls it an export. The build date is June of 79 so I question what year it is really tagged as with the export time. Is it an 80 with a 79 hood? Or is it a 79 with an 80 front air dam and rear spoiler? Me thinks it is a 79 that somebody added 80 parts to. When was it repainted? Could we have more pictures?????

Look at the interior pic... I see no door handle up top, must be down below in the carpet area on the door.
I would say it's a 79 with the front air dam added... or since it's a June 79 production build did Ford make a change with the doors and use the 80 doors on late 79's?
Ford Europe did assemble Mustangs, they did already in 1966.
In the early days they even got their own VIN number.
http://home.planet.nl/~mustangmail/mystang.html gives an example of a Mustang build in the Netherlands.
Here is the prove of Mustangs buils in other European counties http://www.hammar.dyndns.org/~mexmust/regnl.htm
I bought the red Cobra in Switserland at a car dealer that bought the car from the original owner.
He knew the car from new on and he told me that the car has been delivered new including both spoilers.
They are used also on a 1979 Pace car.
I asked him why Switserland had so many American cars, he then told me that a lot of us cars were assembled in Switserland.
Switserland is not (and never was) part of the European union, the country is neutral from the second world war of.
This is the reason why they assemble a lot of American cars I think.
The Vin tells you it was defenately a 1979 and not an 1980 Cobra
