Default time for another so-cal IE/OC meet!!!

Hey guys, it's been a while since we've done anything....Lets have another meet!!!

    I have several ideas.

    1. my house as usual for a bbq (although it may be nice to do something different)

    2. Meet at the local bbq place where they have car shows in the parking lot on occasion and eat some bbq food, maybe go on a small drive afterword

    3. go to marks house in yucca valley (you out there mark? )....I need to pick up an intake/carb from him anyhow.

    4. Meet at the track...I know fontana is having an event in the near future

chime in all, everyone who can drive to this area is welcome to come!

I'm not much help here since any and all sound fine to me. It's a long haul for me so as long as I know where it's at, it's all good to me. I think having it at someone's house is good for the community work on someone's car thing.

Ditto; I'm always very flexible and I can help in just about any way or manor needed. I vote for you're place Jeremy because it is so central to all of the "regulars" whom we know love to attend.
( Except for one a-hole whom happens to be having a good time in Vegas I hear!)...... Not to mention a garage, garage with excellent stereo & video capabilities, garage fridge we fill with beer, a sloping driveway that strikes fear into anyone trying to put the entire car up in the air on four jack stands (unless we've had enough of previously mentioned beer & forget about that little detail).....

I am up for my house. Being as I am out of work until this writer strike is over kind of puts me out of traveling anywhere. I had hoped the have the car smoged and licensed again already, but it is on hold of course. What do you guys think of coming out here?

LOL Tony I'm doing the 5 lug conversion yet. I have to collect all the parts and get new wheels and I have to get back to work and get caught up before all of that takes place.

Lets try to do this BBQ sometime soon. How soon are people available?

Sounds good to me. This weekend I was going to go back to the wrecking yard and grab a bunch of stuff off a two door Fairmont sedan. It has the vent window door but the door shell is in better shape than mine.

Maybe I could get some pointers on how to rebuild an 8.8? I have 4.10 gears and an 8.8 but need to order the rest of the rebuild parts.

Oh, the Fairmont wagon is up to the killer hill challenge!

Well, I'll make a phone call to Thomas and see if the civic is up to the challenge..lol

Btw, you know what happened to that beast after it blew the rods??

he took it in and paid a lot of cash and had a used japanese replacement motor dropped in.

that only lasted a few months before it blew the head gasket...now he's got to do the upper end on that motor, apparently his cost. Poor guy. You'd think he'd learn to stay the **** away from honda's by now.

I'm for it. And I could bring the GT this time for that 8.8 job and maybe a fine tune to the 4180c?

I don't drive it too much. Trying to keep it as an occasional weekend car.

And anybody know where I can smog it w/o actually having to smog it?

If thats the same weekend as the superbowl I'll be out of town already.

Widebody kit = adding 500sqft to my 1100 sqft house
Engine swap = remodeling kitchen and adding 2nd bath at same time

jaime...lol took me a minute to figure out who you were!!!!

    then I read your sig!

Fantastic to see you on this site!!!

For sure, I'm there set in stone too.

I just took my vert on it's biggest maiden voyage since my dash and autometer gauge install/rewire job. Took it down to tustin and back.

She ran flawlessly except for the ****ing oil pressure gauge that kept leaking on my knee. Guess I'll have to fix that.

Haha, cool man. Good to hear the vert is running well...

Ya I finally got off my arse and joined. Lots of good things happening to the stang lately. Doug is finally finished with my motor and if all goes well, and I can scrape up the extra $$'s, it will be in soon.
