Ran a similar setup on the 289 in my 68 for years. I was running 660's though. Still have the intake and carbs in the garage. Get this too

The balance tube will make sure the secondaries open at the same time.

BTW, are those 2 different carbs? One looks like a 660, the other a 600 vac carb.

Yes, I want to race it. The fun part is most people think two carbs don't work. When I whip up on them, it will be funnier.

You're not going to get as hard of a hit with the N20 with the tunnel ram.

That intake was too much work to make fit. I had another manifold on the shelf, A friend welded and epoxied it, reported my Canfields. After some assembly issues I finally was able to get it to the dyno. It was 72 hp short of my goal of 700 hp. It made that power thru full 3" exhaust, same headers and pipes I will run in the car. 93 octane from corner store (E10). This project was a personal challange for me and me only. Used as many parts the I had sitting on shelves as possible. The only new parts were pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, Timing chain, oil pump, lifters, valvesprings, retainers, locks, rocker studs(old ones too short). Carbs were purchased off Ebay for $100.00 for the pair and sent to Pro-Systems, fittings and hose the same, purchased in lots, they don't all match, but what the hell. Pretty doesn't make power. I am attempting to make Hotrod Dragweek with this.

Well, I finished everything up and took it to chassis dyno to do some exhaust testing. I had 3" crush bend pipes and dynomax welded round mufflers. I ran complete system on engine wanted to see how percentage loss I had, then I changed exhaust, 3.5" SS X-Pype and Oval PYPES SS mufflers. After some back to back no changes pulls. All on 93 octane. It made 523 hp 419 tq at wheels. New exhaust it made 525 hp and 425 tq. Calculate the 18% acutal loss that's 11 hp and 33 tq. Not bad for a simple change, added bonus a lot quieter. Also all pulls made N/A.

    Start up w/3"

    Dyno pull w/3.5"
