Default stock 1985 351w timing and jetting recomendations?

anyone have any timing and jetting recomendations for the 1985 351w crown victoria ex police cruiser motor i've got in the mustang..
i've got the initial set at 10* w/ the stock heavy springs in the MSD dist.. running w/ a 650 mighty demon using 71 jets for the primaries and 79 jets for the secondaries.. theres a slight bog/stumble? in the transision between the idle circut and main circut.
i've got to get to the dyno or borrow a wide band to know the A/F for sure..
if anyone has any good recomendations i'd like to hear them..

    it's ok
as long as it gets me close before i go to the dyno.. i moved the timing up to 14* and re-adjusted my throttle cable..
seems to have fixed it.. linkage doesn't stick anymore and it doesn't stumble or bog..
marked improvement according to my seat of the pants meter..

for me, those tip in bogs were always a lean condition. knock those primaries up a jet. make sure your accel. pumps are working properly too.

accel pumps are working properly as far as i can tell..
i did have a problem w/ a sticking throttle cable..
adjusted the billet jegs bracket i got, bolted the cable to the firewall
and it seems to have taken care of my problem.. cable bind i'm thinking..
i need to drive it more to test it, but i need an alignment first and foremost as the CC plates are snug and not tight..
i'm going to get it to the dyno by the end of the year..
change alot of the parameters one at a time searching for a good combo so i can enjoy the car more, while i wait for the new cage, subframes, motor, trans and rear..
just looking for some good base settings so the car is more drivable with as close to a safe tune as i can give it before i hit the dyno..
