Default GT-40P heads and 1.7 rockers??

I'm thinking about putting the GT-40P heads on my '83 Capri with the Performer manifold. Do the GT-40P heads have the same exhaust bolt pattern as stock heads so that my headers will fit? Any input on 1.7 rockers would also be appreciated. I am running the Edelbrock performer cam now with 1.6 rollers. Thanks, Dick

Your stock headers will bolt up, but the plug wires will hit header tubes, because of the spark plug angle. And depending on what springs your heads have, and the lift of the cam 1.7's might not be good..

ANY stock Ford springs will not work. You'll need stiffer single springs with a damper, at a minimum. Trickflow has a nice cheap upgrade set that'd work.
