Sorry but for these square light stangs ford didnt include weather its a GT or and lx in the VIN. Its probably a gt though, as you state. It was indeed a manual because it has 200 hp.

The body/buck tag will give you more information. It can be located on the driver side top front of the radiator support. Post that info and you can get an even further break down.

1986 was the first year that the auto and manual transmissions had the same horsepower rating. Both were 200 hp.
