A set (4) of the wheels went on eBay a couple of weeks ago for $500 with the Escort caps. The correct caps will run you $300/set if you can find them. Keep checking on eBay and ssp.com. For that kind of money I would just run the Escort caps with front centers removed (I found a set of NOS Escort caps for $40.00 including shipping on eBay and had my brother remove the centers on a lathe).

Also, what do you have going on there that blends the front and rear bumper covers into the fenders sans-moldings?

Closeups of both would be nice.
Thanks, dude. The wheels are Weld's Alumastar 2.0s, front and rear. They're 17-inch wheels that are technically for '03-'04 Cobras and '05-up 'Stangs. I took a stab at fitment on a Fox and got lucky (no extreme modifying is necessary, but I recommend rolling the fender lip and using a coilover setup at all four corners to dial-in the stance. The tires are 275/60 17 Drag Radials and Hoosier 26x7.5 17s in the front.

Johns Customz and Performance in Torrance, California, melded the bumpers with the front/rear body bands. It was the body shop's idea.

I'm sorry I can't put up any other pics, but the closeups you want to see are in 5.0 Mustang & Super FordsTech articles on my car's build. I don't remember exactly which months' issues have which shots, but I do know that the bumper/body-band fusion was covered in Part 2 of the bodywork project, and there's a good closeup of the wheels in the article called, "Final Exam." I think the whole project kicked off in the May '06 issue of 5.0, and there was pretty much some sort of report on the build every month after that.

Maybe somebody can hook you up with the back issues or copies or something.

I was searching the 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords website for more info and came across all the YouTube videos here. The car sounds very beefy.

It just so happens I'm getting a subscription to that magazine for Christmas.

Yep. I wouldn't post this smiley, , if you use the word "your" instead of you're......knucklehead.

Now we just got to clean the new garage out so we can get that nasty, sagging nose off of it and get started on your engine.

Now, now, you Kansas boys, settle down! LOL.

Dorian and Erik at House of Boost are my boys! The D-Man is ultra-knowledgeable when it comes to supercharging a 'Stang! I can't wait to swing through that way and check out their new facility. I'm hearing some good things about it.

Anyway, to the dude (80ghianotch) who thinks I actually put a Chevy in my 'Stang...NO, maaaaannnn, you didn't read my post. My coupe's engine has Chevy cubic-inch displacement (350), but it's ALL small-block FORD power, bro.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Aw, come on, I used to mess with Dorian YEARS ago, way before HOB existed. And Eric used to be in love with my old SVO until he realized it was satan.

Glad you like the car, and yes the a/c works and blows cold. I always wonder why people take theirs off and the cars are still street cars.

I maybe upgrading to another set of, You guessed it iron heads. Dart Seniors to be exact. These will have 2.05/1.60 valves and will be fully ported and polished. I will be installing them on a fresh 347 shortblock with a Holley Systemax intake. My goal is 400hp n/a and still with cold a/c.

We will see how it goes.

I'm totally fascinated with that white coupe....jeez.

Yeah, as far as Dorian, Erik and HOB goes....I have vids from 1998-99 with us all doing crazy street stuff. Heck, I have vids of the old black Cobra. I'm just out of the 'scene' now.

This reminds me WAY too much of my old '80 Mustang hatchback! Bought it 14 years ago; had to junk it about 8 years ago, mostly because of a badly split floorpan on the passenger side. Man, I STILL miss that car!
