    Default valve springs what style?

    I am in process of putting a 1991 351 w out of a 1991 crown victoria in my 1983 glx convertible.I am putting in a new cam with a Gross Valve Lift of 0.565 intake and 0.574 exhaust. I am using the stock heads cleaned up and was wondering what style springs do I need for my cam to work. I have heard there are different styles for the windsors.Any manufacturer reccomendations is appreciated also.

    With a cam like that I'd machine the heads for a dual spring set-up. I'd also machine for screw-in studs and guideplates. I'd also consider looking into some Edelbrock or Trick Flow heads too!. By the time you work the stock castings the aftermarket heads look very attractive $ wise.
    The stock heads won't flow the numbers that an aftermarket head can and won't support the flow numbers your cam will require especially on a 351-w.

    ^^^What he said. I put money into stock heads. I wont make the same mistake again. It would be an even worse decision to do that with a 351 based motor.
