No problem, just send me a PM of any pics you need. I'm out of town right now, but I'll be back home Sunday evening.

    Default Update

well, I've been doing a little work on the RS. Stripped all of the major body modings off, removed some of the stripes and all of the emblems, started sanding.

Sometime in the past a form of clear coat was applied and it's turned gummy so the sanding is a biotch (clogging the paper). So for the hood and driver side I decided to use chemical paint stripper. Using chemical stripper is a crappy job, but definetly easier than sanding at this point. Here's the hood progress:

Worked on the car this past weekend, removed the rear bumper cover and started to fix some small dings in the rear quarter and fender:

Since the above pic was taken, I also stripped the driver's side quarter and front fender and re-primed. I should have some more time this weekend to make more progress on the body work - so I'll post up some more pics.

Yes, I will need to get the lower stripes so if you have any info on this I would appreciate it.

    Default More Progress

Worked on the RS this past week, here are more progress shots. The passenger side is mainly complete of all the major work except for final sanding:

Driver side - chemically stripped both the front fender and rear quarter on the driver side (strange gooey clear coat appleid that couldn't be sanded) and applied a coat of primer. Need to sand down the driver door and then fix all the dings on this side.

More to follow - stay tuned!

Thanks Jeff. All your anny needs is some JeffClean - it'll buff right out! Seriously, your anny would be easier than this RS (dark Gray vs white). White hides a lot!

Maybe next summer we can trade cars for a while I've always wanted an anny....

ha...If jeffclean could fix the anny's outside she so would have been done...lol

Just needs paint....and there are a good share of small dings that need hiding.
I just don't have that kind of talent or place to do that much body work.

Update, haven't had much time to work on the Capri recently (busy buying another project). Here are some shots of the panel smoothing. Hope to get back on it this week after work for a few hours.

    Default Update 11-11-07

Well, it been a while shice I updated this thread (burned up my single stage compressor, been waiting on replacement parts) so here goes:

Right side is basically done, needs final putty and wet sanding

    Hood still needs some TLC:

Left side is basically done, needs final putty and wet sanding

I had to remove the channel run liner on both doors because the rubber was totally shot and extremely brittle:

    Default more pics

Front bumper cover is being wet sanded, still more to do here:

Finally, the roof is getting closer, I need to give this a good wet sanding.

Still left to do include strip the decals off both the front and rear bumper covers and then give them and the hood scoop a good wet sanding.

    Enjoy - JT

    Default Update 1-6-08

OK, here is the car after putty and wet sanding (notice all the red dust on the floor from the putty):

And here are the pics showing the car in final primer:

I've got one spot on the pass fender that didn't turn out to my liking (body work is too low) so I'll fix that next. I also still need to remove the RS stripe from the rear bumper cover then sand both the rear cover and hood scoop. Then seal and paint. This project has been taking longer than I originally planned, but I haven't had a lot of time to put into the car. Planning on having it ready to drive once spring hits. That's it for now!
