    Default ----Help Need Info----

Ok, I bought this car a few years ago off of eBay thinking I'd have enough time and money to buy the engine and tranny that it needs. However as I'm sure most of you know things don't always happen as planned. I found a 1990 Cougar XR7 SC 5 Speed (1 of 823) and there went most of my money.

Anyway I'm just wondering if someone can help me identify if I have something really special sitting in my garage under covers or if it's just one of the the remaining few rust free Capri's out there in need of some TLC.

    Default 86 Capri

    Hi,
Please post specific details as to engine type & mileage. Mike Negus I'm sure can break down your VIN. What I see is a very nice example of a 86 Mercury Capri GS, depending on the engine (injected 302?) it would be a little rarer of the GS line and its apparent condition sets it a class apart All Capris are something special though I would personally concentrate on it vs. the LSC.

    Best Regards,
    Jim

Just a quick note, I'm sure your probably aware of this, but if not, the car has apparently been repainted due to the red paint around the side windows. Something some people overlook thats always annoyed me. It does look like a VERY nice car despite the lack of drivetrain though.

Just out of curiousity, is this car currently for sale or are you just kicking around the idea? ( I have several EFI 5.0's waiting for a good home if its for sale and would love a "stock" version of my 86 5.0 Capri I already have!!) Let us know what you decide!! ( a PM directly to me FIRST would be nice!!! ) Later, RAY
