    Default '86 4cyl. Q's

My friend just picked up a 86 LX. It looks like it had FI, but somebody dropped a carbed 4 cylinder in it. All the wiring seems to be there, so I ask...

Assuming most of the wiring is present, what is needed to drop in a SFI mass air engine into the car??? He plans to pull his built FI engine/driveline out of his '87, and drop a carb on it. The Mass air car was running, so everything is there.

I assume you are talking about dropping a fi mass air v8 into the 86? if so then you'll need the complete wiring harness for it, and if you want everything to work then it'll have to be a 86 specific one. even if it was a fuel injected 4 banger the wiring won't work. at least the fuel lines are there already.

It wouldn't have been a EFI 4 cylinder...
The wiring harness on the passenger side would have to be tossed in favor of the correct harness.
No matter where you go, there you are
