    Default Convertible Top "Dressing" ?

I know you're not supposed to put Armor-All on a convertible top.
But that's the look I'm after.
I bought a convertible top cleaner/protectant, and followed the directions to the letter. When the top dried off, it was definately clean, but I would like it to be darker in color.
Is there an Armor-All type product for convertible tops?
    Thanks!

I contacted the manufacturer of my top. I wanted to know what they recommended to honor their warranty.

I've heard great things about that and 303 - I bought the 303 awhile back and love it. It's not oily, doesn't collect dust, and really brings a deep luster to the vinyl along with SPF protection.

This topic reminded me that I needed to buy a cleaning and protectant kit.

A kit (cleaner and protectant) of 303 was $19.95 + an additional bottle of cleaner + free shipping.

    Thanks guys!
    I ordered some.
I found the 303 site and was about to order when I read that it would probably be cheaper if I bought elsewhere.
Turns out the 303 site was cheapest, especialy w/free shipping and extra bottle of cleaner.
    Thanks again,

Ez-on and Robbins tops recommend 303 products. I can’t say the cleaner gets every spot off, but most of it. I have a 2 year old top on my 89. White tops are a challenge.

Rag Top for cloth tops is the general consensus.

Unsure of convertible tops, but Ive been a fan of 303 protectant for years, works great and water based. I recently picked up a gallon of it on Amazon for 35$ shipped.

Also carried by Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops. Cabela's carries it in-store, not sure about BPS but probably.

I used Lexoral cleaner (which uses non petrol based moisturizers that are absorbed by both leather and vinyl.

liquid shoe polish works well following that cleaning and moisturizing on aging material. Seals in the moisturizers for a little while and adds some badly needed color

Thats the process a Dr Vinyl rep recommended to me many years ago. Worked well on my 89, also on my Sebring Convertible. The tops stayed presentable and held up over 13 years in both instances with the cars sitting out in the weather all the time.

helped reduce shrinkage vs other tops I’ve seen that tore themselves apart too.

pictured is after a fast treatment on a 13 year old top that was subjected to daily abuse and the snow weight of midwest winters and quite hot days in the summer. The reflection is actually the clouds, the top was dry in the picture
