Default How Much for 10 Holes?

So as I am restoring the mustang I was thinking about picking up a set of ten holes to put on. Right now I have 66 mustang hubcaps, which look pretty nice in my opinion, but I already had one fly off and don't wanna keep replacing them...
So anyways, I found a set on craigslist for listed 65. Is that a good price, or do you think I could find them cheaper? Don't know if they have tires yet and the owner says they are in "pretty good condition". Hope to talk to him and get some pictures to see if there is curb rash or anything. But how much would you guys spend for 10 holes, and should I try to talk him down in price? thanks!

by the way I have until summer before i would finalize anything when school ends and i get more hours at work, so I have some time to shop around too...

At one time years ago; I'd give a beer per 10-hole wheel taken off my property....
Now? I doubt I'd give anything more than a beer per wheel....

A set of 4 is worth $50 as scrap metal at the recyclers. Keep that in mind. My buddy paid $100 for his set but they were really, really, nice. He had them on his car for a few years and now they are on mine and they still look pretty darn good. You can see them on my car in the link in my sig.

I bought mine at a yard sale for $75, $65 isn't so bad, especially if the tires are usable.

I found a nice set with decent tires for $65. The clearcoat was cracking kinda bad, but there was zero curb rash.

65 sounds fair. It seems the tires are worth more than the wheels.

I tried selling a set in great condition, no takers. Still sitting behind my shed.

Hell... I literally GAVE my set to DeanT.... actually... both sets. I gave him the originals that were on my GT which looked really good. And I gave him the set that was on my LX. The ones on the LX would fit the 11" disc brakes.

My opinion... If they don't come with good tires and they aren't absolutely perfect, $65 is $50 too much. If you weren't three states away I'd tell you to come pick up a set.

I have a set in pretty bad shape (clearcoat and curb rash) with snow tires sitting on the side of my house. I don't even own a 4-lug Mustang anymore, but I suppose I should keep 'em around in case one of the guys needs 'em on a Saleen or something.

Does aluminum bring money at the scrapyard like copper does now?
