After the original 1984 5.0 was wiped out when the camshaft bearings disintigrated, I picked up a 5.0 from an '88 and sent it off to the shop. Now that it's back from being built, all I have to do is finish the top end and put it in the car!

Thanks, I wish I had gotten a new timing pointer though.
Looks awesome dude, that block looks brand new. That harmonic balancer looks new, it didn't come with a timing pointer?

Are you going to run nitrous or a blower? I see head studs.
A bunch of 85gt's
I was intending a nitrous route.
Seems I misplaced the new pointer when the balancer went to the shop.Originally Posted by ZachW04Stang
That is absolutely gorgeous. What valve covers will you bolt on?
I will be reinstalling the stock 1984 HO covers. They will be used to hide the Crane roller pedestal conversion kit.Originally Posted by oldpaint

'86 GT vert - Everything you could see was stone stock, everything you couldn't, wasn't - taken by a DUI Hit&Run in 2001.
Trying to keep a stock 1984 appearance right down to the grey powder coated oil pan hiding the Canton oiling system.
So I can try to hide the '88 roller block with ISKY roller cam, KB forged pistons, NOS and all that other stuff.
