That is an excellent Cobra, I love the white w/ green combo. Was that originally ordered without the hood decal? It would take a lot of determination for me to leave the decal off, even if its supposed to be that way..I think its my all time favorite graphic. Either way your Cobra is mint and I am insanely jealous..I really want a 79-81 Cobra.

    Thanks for posting!
    Cheers!

no 79 hood decal wish it did.
I did get and paint another 79 hood and a pace car long hood scoop just to change look, but keep stock hood and scoop just to swap back and forth. trying to buy the 81 green snake decal.

I wonder what the pace car hood and graphic will look like with your egg shaped grill (as opposed to the PC grill)? I think it will look amazing, but I don't know if I've ever seen anyone do that? Does Phoenix Graphics reproduce the green decal, or do you need to find an nos one or have one custom made?

I hope you find the decal soon, I would love to see your car with a lime green snake on the hood.
    Cheers!

1985 GT convertable. All original unrestored down to the GY Eagle VR 60's. Triple white with white leather and canyon red accents. 5 speed-4V, cruise/tilt, per windows, oddly enough no per locks, radio delete.

This is an awesome thread, so many nice examples of stock cars that represent an era we all love.
this is my 1986 GT Convertible -all original paint and body panels, a nice driver. One of the nicest preserved and driven foxbody cars I've ever owned.
And I've owned a couple dozen in my lifetime. This car has over 100k miles and drives like the one I bought new in 1986.
Apologize for the modified exhaust. I do, however, have the original 1986 uncut exhaust including original mufflers and tails, and catted H-pipe. Factory Headers are still on her.
Original exhaust to be installed one day down the road, but, for now I'm enjoying the awesome sound of the 5.0!!! This is a non-undercoated car, no holes, no dealership or aftermarket Ziebart.
The undercarriage is as nice as the original Bright Red painted exterior. It's also a factory ordered Tu-tone optioned car. Just an amazing car I'm happy to own.

VasCJ, you would think your convertible only had 10K miles on it by how clean everything is. That is such a pretty car, I love the color and I have a soft spot for tutone. I imagine cruising with the top down is a great time. Thanks for posting and for taking such good car of that beauty...it really shows.
    Cheers!

Thanks Mike! It's such an original car some times im blown away it's almost 30 years old! I really like the two tones as well. Puzzling why more weren't ordered, I guess it was hard to find the option on the order sheet. I just took it out for a Friday spin celebrating the beginning of Veterans day weekend with an early cigar and my favorite car. Brought back a lot of memories of cruising in these cars in the 80s. Life was much simpler and I was much younger. I still get that same feel. Amazing that we can still enjoy the pep of a hipo smallblock ford with 5 gears to row through in such a tight package. A real pleasure to drive these cars. And the best part about the mileage, no anxiety putting miles on the old girl, she's had plenty of years of driving pleasure. Thanks again.

84 GT350 Conv. 66,000 original miles. Going to put original wheels back on it when I can buy Coker Michelin tires as my budget gets there. Fixing little things now. Horrible paint job. Looks like a Macco or Collision King job. That will be corrected after new interior. Overall a good original car. Just wished that a butcher had not painted it.

I just picked up a beautiful 84 capri rs with 38k. Everything is stock except for a new holly carb and edelbrock performer intake.I have the trx
wheels for it although I'm not sure what she wore originally. Its a non air car with power windows.Power gas door and has the console.
It also has a replacement cat and muffler. The car is just too quiet so I'm going to put a proper 86 exhaust on it.Name: 10488262_753720827984445_4567468710454846169_n.jpg

We'll maybe pick up the screwdriver and the foam from the steering wheel puller......I changed out the stock cruise steering wheel with a stock 82 GT wheel just before this.

Those are just tools of the trade. Your car is absolutely amazing btw, great choice on the steering wheel. That is one of the better looking fox wheels ever used. I don't know how people can't love a red interior after looking at how nice yours is. Very well done inside and out.
    Cheers!
