Thanks to all of you that have posted about your orginal cars. If anyone can go back and post pics about your cars finer points, that would be great.

I'll own another Four Eye one of these days!
How about a '79 LX 5.0. It's 100% original for now. Purchased brand new by me in 1979. Red over black, heavely faded and worn. 130K miles before it was run dry on oil (taught me to let my kids drive). Stored in my garage for the last 10 years while I collect parts. I'm almost ready to do something now.
i sent pictures to mike negus. if he still has them maybe he could
post some details.i had someone send them to him for me.

Hey Fulcrum, you and me, original owners of 79's. Here's to us!! What do you have in mind for your car? You can tell, mine is very very stock, and it gets much attention for being just that.

I have a 85 GT hatchback that I purchased new. It was a daily driver for many years. I replaced the stock 3.08s w/ 3.45s and added a '90 dual exhaust. Except for tune-up stuff everything else is factory. I even have all the original paperwork. I'm a newbe and look forward to participating in the forum.
I just picked up an '85 GT 'vert w/ 60K. It's really in pretty good shape but a PO resto-modded it. Luckily I was able to get most of the original parts that came off of it, including springs, exhaust, shifter and carb. My plan is to slowly return it to factory or at least close. Where were the rear factory speakers mounted? What size were they? A pic would be great.
Thanks, Guido
well since my car will only be stock and completely original for a few more days..
84 Turbo Convertible
Medium Canyon Red paint
Medium Red Interior

I am technically the second owner but there is no record of it being registered before I purchased it earlier this year .
I plan to keep a stock appearance but the mods are coming with an ultimate goal of 300hp with an additional 100 shot at wot
I have an 81 all original except the Keystone blades and the radio and the shifter. My mother had it first and froma used car lot so those rims were already on it the original radio had broke so they found a cheap replacement, I think it had shifter problems too dont remember. Everything else is original even has the unrecalled seats but the headliner fell but the coaerdboard is still there. it had been through a flood an everything but little rust and it would actually run if I did some things to it. Anyone have the 8-track in theres?
I have a 2R 85 GT sunroof car that is 99% original with 64K miles. There MIGHT be a few heater hoses that have been changed and the serpentine belt is aftermarket but i have a NOS one for it. The other thing i changed cause i thought it was wrong is i took the metal fan off and put a plastic fan on it but on my build sheet it has the same part number for the metal fan. It still has the date coded sparkplug wires, 225/60/15 Gatorbacks and full factory exhaust.
A bunch of 85gt's
I have 2 - 1980 Capri w/2.3, and 1983 Mustang GT. The Capri looks very nice, but there are little rust spots under the paint all over it. No way to do anything about it short of stripping the whole car and having it dipped, since the rust is everywhere. It will probably be a long time before it becomes a problem.
My daughter's '89 LX is totally stock and rust free with 56,000mi. on the clock.

I just picked up an '86 GT convert with 43K miles over the summer that is 100% stock down to the air silencer. I bought it from the original owner.
PFD, we hope we can see some pictures of that car...and soon please. welcome to this crazy site. Don't be shy about anything, just ask. what area are you in ??

I have an 83 GLX Convertible with 5.0L and 5-speed with only 13,341 original miles on the clock. It is all original including paint, interior and top. Only the wheels and tires are not original (the first owner verified that it was delivered with TRX wheels/tires). The vehicle was appraised last week and the appraiser speculated that even the exhaust was original!
While sorting through some junk in my garage I came across a set of license plates (in pristine condition) that I had last used on a vehicle in 1982. As they were still registered in my name, the MTO allowed me to use them on this vehicle. My GLX now has 1983-era Ontario tags as well!
It is equipped with air, premium sound, ps, pb and console. Let me know if you need info or pictures. I would be happy to help anyone out.

Very nice GLX, Dave. Welcome to FEP and thanks for taking the time to post some pics. As the person that started this thread, and the orginal owner of my 79 Capri, I felt that members that had cars like yours and mine could use them for reference for other members. And yes, my exhaust is also orginal. Take care of the GLX.

As another original owner, I had to chuckle at your original exhaust stories. Mine is just the opposite. My car was in semi-storage for 14 years, 1500 miles away from me, in my mother-in-law's garage. During this time it was driven once in a while, and usually just for a few minutes. It also served as a back-up car when a family member's vehicle was out of commission, which means it got used in less-than-optimum conditions (and this was Ohio). I would drive the car when we came for a summer visit. You can imagine this was about the worst conditions for exhaust systems. For a time I was replacing the exhaust every 3 or 4 years. I think I am on the fourth or fifth system.
