    Default Black M81 Mclaren Mustang

Ha! I thought it would be fun just too bid on the black M81 that was on ebay. Now I just recieved an email from the owner of the car saying because I was the 2nd highest bidder and the 1st highest bidder bailed on him, he wants to sell me the car lol. Geeze now I just need too find 10,200$USD too buy it.

You expressed interest in an item titled "1980 Ford : Mustang 0F03A308226" (Item 4570010890) by bidding , however the auction has ended with another member as the high bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller of that item is making this Second Chance Offer to you.

The seller has issued this Second Chance Offer because either the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction .
    Now only if...

How does that work? Are you obligated to purchase the car?

No. He was not the highest bidder. He can offer a LESSER amount if he so wishes.

More importantly, if he wants it, he should find a BROKER in Italy who speaks english and can facilitate the deal. Even if it cost $5k for a broker to get it here...It seems like its worth it. Its the fabled black M81 from Italy no less. Lots of history and a totally unique car.

By the time the car is ready to ship, that storm will be LOOONG gone. IT will be WEEKS before it gets on a boat and WEEKS before it gets into port and WEEKS before it gets unloaded and on its way to you.

Getting a container from China takes 3-6 months from what I have heard.

    Hello Justin,

Thank you for taking the time to report this email so that we may review
    your concern.

The message you received is fraudulent and is not a part of eBay's
second chance offer program. In addition, it is attempting to sell an
item outside of the eBay site. To be a valid transaction, your User ID
needs to be listed as the buyer on the ended auction page. Items
purchased outside of the eBay site are not eligible for our protective
services, such as the Fraud Protection Program. This service is only
available for items listed, bought, and sold on eBay in compliance with
our guidelines and policies. For more information on this policy, please
    visit the link below:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...ebay-sale.html

A real second chance offer will provide a link where you can "Buy It
Now" and see yourself as the winner on the eBay site. It is like a
personal auction set up just for you.

As you are probably aware, email solicitations for outside of eBay
transactions are prohibited and are a violation of our user agreement.
However, our initial review leads us to believe that the email you
received may actually be the result of an unauthorized account takeover.
We are now in the process of verifying the actual sender and will
restore the account to its true owner if necessary.

For your protection, please be aware that eBay discourages all
transactions, which are initiated by parties other than the seller and
the winning buyer in a completed eBay listing. Sales that take place
outside of eBay carry a potential fraud risk and are not eligible for
eBay services, including feedback, contact information requests, and the
eBay Fraud Protection Program. You can review the services provided
through the eBay Fraud Protection Program at:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidenc...ems-fraud.html

In addition, we do not recommend the use of instant cash wire transfer
services such as Western Union and MoneyGram, and we ask that users
decline sending payment in cases where these are the only methods of
payment offered by the seller. Generally, if payment is sent using an
instant cash wire transfer service and the item is not delivered as
promised, no recourse is available for recovering funds. In most cases,
an escrow service should be used when purchasing high dollar value
items. More information on the benefits and risks of individual payment
    methods can be found at:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/payment.html

eBay urges caution when purchasing high-priced items, especially if the
price seems too good to be true.

Also, if you have replied to their emails, it is suggested that you
update your virus software definition files.

We appreciate your help and your commitment to keep eBay safe.

    Regards,

    Justice
