Default Edelbrock performer power package good for carb swap?

i am really considering going ahead and doing the swap from CFI to carb and was wondering how well the edelbrock power package would work for the main parts of the swap...(manifold, carb, cam & lifters) i know the cam and lifters isnt necessary but its nice that it is all in one package http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...20&prmenbr=361
now this swap in going on an 84 gt350 car with the 302 and AOD. Also i was curious if the same kit in the performer RPM version would be a better choice http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...24&prmenbr=361... the motor is all stock except fliter and full exhaust... i may get the heads fully ported and polished at the same time as the carb swap. really i guess i just want to know if this setup will work on my car... i called jegs and asked them but i know the great people around FEP.com will know for sure

I'm new to this site... i just found it the other night... i'm loving it. nowhere else have i found a site with so much information about my car

Package parts are usually the best rounded combo's you can get. The performer RPM kit is a bit too much I'd say unless you installed a bigger stall converter in the AOD.

The hardest part of the CFI to carb swap is the fuel system I think. Ignition is easy with standard or aftermarket parts. Heck, you really dont even need to swap the heads and cam if you dont want to.

Just remember that the 5L in your 84 is not a roller block. You'd be better off with getting a 85, 87+ 5L roller block and building that up.
