CAPRI = just what it says
623175 = Consecutive Unit Number (23,175th '83 Capri made)
61D = Three-door Hatchback
W = Turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder, 145HP, EFI
9D = Polar White Exterior
CRS = Capri RS
MBW = Manual Borg Warner (T-5 transmission)
06 = Type of Hood (no hood scoop)
D = Red Interior

Does you car have rear defrost? Based on the tag and my limited understanding, I don't think it should.

Thanks for the info No defrost on back hatch. But it does have a scoop on the hood. This car dosn't have many opp. No ac has a am fm radio no power locks or windows no power opener for hatch. Thanks again Richard

Yes I think that the car should have a hood scoop. I believe it was standard with all 83 Turbo Capris (actually the fact book says ALL RS Capris):

015? = paint shop rotation number ???
DF = door frame (painted black)
ST = ???
E sideways = ???
05 = radio code (manual tune AM/FM Stereo Cassette?)
06 = ??? 02 should be the code for no hood scoop
big S = ???
-D = ??? have never heard of interior color on the buck tag
NLR = rear louvers

Your car would not have air conditioning (AC), speed control (S), or power windows and door locks (WD).

I thought the car should have the rear louvers . Did they come factory with them I always thought they were dealer installed. Now I got to find a set to put back on. There is a part of them on hatsh along the window> I got pics in album. Thanks Richard

Rear louvers were not factory.

They are EXTREMELY hard to find for the bubble backs.

Were all Capris produced with the bubbleback glass?

The bubbleback hatches were only on the '83-'86 Capris.

Were all Capris produced with the bubbleback glass?

The bubble back was introduced in 1983. ALL of the 83-86 Capris had it.

79-82 had the Mustang hatch.
