    Default Turbo oil Lines

What I would like to know since I am not using a merkur block or a SVO block is where the oil feed line comes from? I know the oil return line has to be welded to my oil pan but I never see any pics of where the oil feed line is coming from or how to hook one up for the turbo on a N/A block.

I have never built a turbo car, but I believe you just use a T at the oil sending unit.

The stock cars T off the oil pressure unit as said above.

I have seen a few pictures of people taking it off the hole in the back of the head. There is a hex plug in it and you should be able to remove it and get oil.

Awesome, just what I needed to know, will have to get the tubing for that and I think I will go with the T at the oil sending unit. Will beef the oil pump up a bit as I dont know how much the pressure will drop cause of the addition. I think with the bigger oil pump I may increase the size of the oil line running to the turbo as I know that the oil cooled turbos need to be well looked after.

Most recommend running stock Turbo oil pump. Some issues running a higher volume oil pump.

Issue's with the pumps or with the combo of using the pump with a turbo?

I beleive it has to do with the lifter's not pumping up..

And I've read of undue stress from the higher volume. And maybe distributor issues. Check turboford.org about the topic. But its issues with things in and on the engine more so, nothing with the turbo or pump.

Although a oil restrictor might be required if such was used as you could blow out the seals in the turbo.

Well if there is not enough of a drop in oil pressure when I add the turbo then there is no point in increasing the pressure in the oil system.
