Default finally, a few pics of the project...

okay, i finally got a camera. here are some pics of my recently acquired 1986 LX hatch, as well as some other stuff i've scored so far:

    the car:

    empty engine bay:

    it's a hatchback, alright...

an interior shot. i haven't cleaned it at all yet. also, free with the car, was an air freshener that says 'player' on it. while i may not necessarily be a player, i am certainly not a player hater. though i now know what a player smells like, and i understand why player haters exist. yuck.

but it's pretty clean already, really.

    yup, that's actual miles:

i got this cruddy old intake and carb free from work. it cleaned up okay, though i am not sure if the carb is any good yet. carbs intimidate me a little. i have yet to tear into it.

it's an F4B! neat, especially for free.

    and today's score, a 1994 T-5.

    i'll keep you all updated.

nice interior! those seats are cherry bro ... shampoo the crap outta your carpet and you'll be styling.

Was that a CFI car or a 4-banger. That intake looks like a high-rise deal ... either way, pull out the scrub brush!

does the 94/95 t5 bolt in?

i remember reading it was longer, or the bearing retainer/inputshaft was longer, something like that..

looks like it used to be a 4 cylinder car. the coil is on the wrong side to be a V6.

The "graph lines" you refer to are original and came with the LX interior package. It's a true OEM Ford part as you see it. You can pick those up in the yards, or even on eBay sometimes, pretty cheap actually, since the most sought after dash inserts are either the GT, SVO or fuzzy Capri inserts.

Also, do not be so quick to judge someone's comments as being derogatory. It is often difficult to interpret someone's intentions having only text and no body language or tone of voice to guide you.
