FOUND! One of the 381 1983 RS Turbos!
And it now has a HAPPY new owner, My dad!
Its one of those things that seems to good to be true when you see a "1983 Capri Turbo 5sp" listed in a newspaper. Could this REALLY be one of the EXTREMELY RARE cars? Well, He went over today and checked it out.
It is a real 1983 2.3T RS Capri. He said the body was in REALLY good condition little to no rust on the chassis. The interior is complete but well worn. The engine is running fine, but somkeing. Iit just had a pair of new fuel pumps installed, and a rebuilt head installed. Im guessing the turbo drain is problay leaking, as the smoke is comeing from under the hood.
All I will say is that he got ONE HELL of a deal on the car. It has been off the road for quite a while and in storeage. The owner appeard to only want to insure the car went to somebody that would restore it to its former glory and apreaciate it for what it was. What better place to go then to a family that already has one Capri with a 2.3T
