Default Can anyone trace this part number?

I need to know what this part is. E3ZE-9B982-A2A
It appears to be related to the charcol canisters and mine is broken. Any ideas what is does? Below is a pic of said part.

You might try: http://greensalescompany.com/ (Cincinnati,Oh.) I have had good luck for emission parts from them. Remember the part # you posted is the engineering part number only, Most dealers wont even cross it over anymore. (sad) Gregg/Ohio

    Brett,

It is a canister purge solenoid. when activated it allows the fuel vapors stored in the carbon canister to be drawn into the carb to be burned thru the intake. ~ Capri

It's not a PCV valve it is a canister purge solenoid.

PCV valves to not have electrical wires. L@@K closer at that picture.

Besides I have 2 in a box that I took off of my 85 Capri
