It varies acccording to options such as roof type (convertible, T-roof, sunroof), AC or not, power windows or not, power locks or not, sport seats or low back seats, etc., etc., etc.

My "factory stripper" '83 GT hatchback with a T-5 weighs ~2950lbs. (no driver, no fuel). Except for a T-roof, the car has absolutely NO other options; no AC, no power anything, no cruise, no tilt, no sport performance seats, no TRX suspension....nothing.

    Default What Tha?

My car is a '85 capri RS. The Regi says it weighs 3800? It's loaded with everything but power locks. I think somewhere along the line somebody screwed up and wrote the wrong # when they where registering it. Of course, I got a few pounds on you guys with all that glass in the hatch!

So, would 3200 - 3300 be a good guess? I've got an '84 GT, hatch, sunroof, and all the original stuff AC, power stuff and seats in it. Judging by Fox's weight, I'm thinking maybe even 3400.

The enormous Capri bubble hatch probably adds 600 pounds to the car. Just a rough estimate. 3800 seems too high though, really. I'm joking about the hatch weight.

Yeah 3200-3300 sounds about right. Verts are a little heavier than hatchbacks.

Anyone know what my car would weigh? the only options are tilt wheel and the light package. No AC, no power doors, etc.

I would say somewhere between 3100-3200. My 85 GT is stripped. No a/c, no power steering, manual windows & locks. The heater box and such are getting ready to go also. I guesstimate mine will be around 3000 lbs when I'm done with it.

My '83 is the SROD version, power nothing but steering. Some suspension mods and subfarmes and it was 3000 even with about 1/2 to 3/4 tank of fuel.
